Tucker Carlson Claims Gulf States Detain Israeli Spies Planning Bombings

(MENAFN) American political commentator Tucker Carlson said Monday that Saudi Arabia and Qatar had detained individuals he described as Israeli intelligence operatives allegedly preparing attacks within their territories.

Speaking on his program, Carlson claimed that both Gulf nations had “arrested Israeli Mossad agents planning bombings in those countries.” He questioned the alleged motive behind such actions, asking, “Why would the Israelis be committing bombings in Gulf countries, which are also being attacked by Iran?” He added, “Aren’t they on the same side?”

Carlson further asserted, “Israel wants to hurt Iran - and Qatar, and the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, and Oman and Kuwait,” and argued that Israel deliberately stirs instability among Washington’s Arab partners.

His remarks come as the United States and Israel press ahead with military operations against Iran, following a joint offensive launched Saturday that, according to Iranian authorities, killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior officials. Tehran has also accused the strikes of hitting civilian sites, including schools and hospitals, resulting in hundreds of civilian deaths.

Iranian officials said that during the initial wave of attacks, around 163 girls were killed when a school in the country’s south was struck.

In response, Tehran launched attacks against Israel and US military-linked positions across the region, disrupting commercial air travel and oil shipping routes while contributing to rising global energy prices. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that it had targeted more than 500 US and Israeli sites using 700 drones alongside hundreds of missiles.
