Poland Urges Citizens to Evacuate Iran Amid Rising Conflict Risks

(MENAFN) Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has issued an urgent warning for all Polish nationals to leave Iran immediately, cautioning against any travel to the country due to the risk of a sudden military escalation, according to reports.

“Please leave Iran immediately and under no circumstances travel to this country,” Tusk told reporters in Zielonka, near Warsaw. “I do not want to alarm anyone, but we all know what I am referring to. The possibility of a conflict is very real.”

The prime minister emphasized that the opportunity for evacuation may close quickly. “In a few, a dozen, or several dozen hours, evacuation may no longer be possible,” he said, urging citizens to heed the warning seriously.

Polish authorities have not disclosed how many nationals are currently in Iran, though the Foreign Ministry is expected to provide further instructions soon.

Tusk also reminded the public that prior evacuation advisories have sometimes been ignored, with serious consequences. “We have bad experiences,” he said. “Some people underestimate such appeals.”

According to reports, tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel are intensifying, raising fears of another military confrontation even as diplomatic negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program continue.

Earlier, Israel and Iran engaged in a 12-day conflict in June 2025, during which the US conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.
