KSA Refuses to Allow Military Actions Against Iran from Its Territory

(MENAFN) Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman stated that the Kingdom will not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military operations targeting Iran. The remarks were made during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to reports from the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) late Tuesday.

Bin Salman reaffirmed “the Kingdom’s position on respecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran” and stressed that Saudi Arabia “will not allow the use of its airspace or territory in any military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran or any attacks by any party, regardless of their destination.”

He also emphasized support for “any efforts aimed at resolving disputes through dialogue in a manner that enhances security and stability in the region.”

During the call, Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for the backing of Islamic nations amid concerns of a potential US strike on Tehran. He stated, “The principled policy of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on preserving the unity and cohesion of ethnicities and sects and strengthening national solidarity.”

Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of Muslim unity, adding, “I wholeheartedly believe that the Islamic ummah (nation) and Islamic countries are brothers, and I firmly believe that together and through joint cooperation we can build a secure, developed and advanced region for our peoples.”

He also criticized what he described as “hostility” from the United States and Israel, accusing them of economic pressure, attempts to provoke conflict, and directly supporting unrest in Iran.
