Iran Resumes Flights Following Temporary Suspension

(MENAFN) Iran's aviation corridors resumed operations Thursday following an abrupt shutdown imposed earlier that day, the semi-official Fars news agency disclosed.

Referencing the International Civil Aviation Organization, Fars confirmed that Iran's skies are now accommodating inbound and outbound air traffic, with airports restored to full passenger service capacity.

Iran broadcast an emergency directive late Wednesday night, sealing its airspace to all aviation activity except international routes that had secured advance authorization from the nation.

Multiple governments—including Spain, India, and Australia—have issued urgent advisories in recent days instructing their nationals to evacuate Iran amid escalating fears that the United States may launch military strikes against Iranian targets. The British government revised its Foreign Travel Advice for Iran on Wednesday, announcing a temporary evacuation of personnel from its Tehran embassy driven by heightened security threats.
